Ultimately, our Ambition is no more and no less than fulfilling the word of God. We earnestly want to “make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 18:19) We are always ambitious to “impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.” (Ephesians 2:7) It is our ambition “to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ.” (Colossians 2:2) The list goes on!
Jesus said, “To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.” (Matthew 13:11) In His love and wisdom, we continue to gain insight through service, and that service is so simple. Our Scripture verse for DCF is, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ (Matthew 25:35-36)
“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 7:12) For a Christian, it can be hard to imagine people who do not understand. It is so obvious! Well, at DCF we understand in part. That part gets bigger all the time.
