This is what we do. We learn about the two great commandments. We love, and we are loved. We study, we practice, we teach and we learn. We love each other. Although the final steps are in process and DCF is now “official,” we see DCF as more of a community than an organization.
Every day seems different, so what we can tell you can be summarized by, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.” (I John 5:3)
At DCF, our mission is to train and encourage Christian servants for practical service, self-sustenance, and outcomes focusing on Scriptural application. We work to raise living standards to develop local Christians who will financially and spiritually support their own communities. This is never a burden!
While we certainly strive to feed and clothe the poorest, and assist with housing and immediate necessities, we strongly believe that the greater mission comes from “building the church” by raising the quality of life, purpose and interaction among the whole fellowship of Christian believers. Of course that requires some money, but mostly it means fellow laborers, and committed prayers from commandment keepers. We know from the letter of James that “the prayers of the righteous avail much.” Will you add us to your prayers?
In Mark 4: 31-32, Jesus tells the parable of the mustard seed. The kingdom of heaven, he said, “is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”
We are amazed as we watch the DCF mustard seed grow.
