Each Other

In Matthew 12: 46-50, Jesus tells us about our family here at DCF.  “While Jesus was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. But he replied to the man who told him, ‘Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?’ And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers!  For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.'”

We are brothers and sisters of our Heavenly Father, brought together through Jesus Christ.  We are a very close-knit family.  We all attend our local churches, thousands of miles apart in Uganda, Michigan and Arizona, USA, but we have a very special unity as we gather in love for each other and our fellows through DCF.

Virtually all the funds for DCF come from the US, but all the work is done by Emmanuel Tumusiime and his crew in Uganda.  Pete and Dave both wish they could spend time and effort in Uganda.  It is, however, more urgent to use travel money to support what the local crew can do better, more efficiently, faster, and sooner.  We always seek God’s calling, and one day he may send one or all of us from our homes in America.  He might send you!

“Each other” should include you!  We would love to share our prayers and Christian support with you.  If you have an interest in being part of “each other,” learning about life in Africa, or how the Lord can use you, write to us!  We will never ask for your money or time, but we can help you feel like a member of God’s community.

Send an email to pray4us@DCFUganda.org, or substitute Emmanuel, Pete, or Dave for pray4us if you have something personal for any of us.
